fbterm-ucimf software package provides ucimf input method interface for fbterm, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fbterm-ucimf
fbterm-ucimf is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fbterm-ucimf package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fbterm-ucimf *
You will get with fbterm-ucimf package name, version, architecture and description in a table
